Getting to Santa's Parade of Lights

Street closures and delays

Santa's Parade of Lights takes place Saturday, November 18, 2017. The parade route will result in some road closures before and during the parade as well as slow moving traffic during the event. Details and map will be posted shortly. The parade begins at 5:30 p.m.

The staging area is on Jasper Avenue, between 97 -100 Street, and it will be closed from 4:30 p.m. -5:30 p.m.

The parade route will cause road closures and bus detours along Jasper Avenue between 100 Street and 108 Street. It will be closed for the duration of the parade.


Expect slow moving traffic between 6-7 p.m. as the parade disperses on 108 Street between Jasper Avenue and 100 Avenue.

Where to park downtown

If you plan to drive to the parade, there are parking options in surface lots and underground parkades near the route. Visit the Downtown Business Association for locations.

Parking along the parade route will be closed starting on Saturday at 5 a.m. Parkades and lots in the downtown core are available at regular rates. Access in and out of parkades on the route will be limited from 4:30-6 p.m.
